Seattle’s Fastest-Selling Neighborhoods Revealed

While home sales have cooled in many parts of the country, some areas — including several right here in the Seattle metro — are defying the trend. According to a recent Business Journals analysis, five Seattle-area ZIP codes ranked among the ten fastest-selling housing markets nationwide in Q2 2025.

In Seattle's 98177 ZIP code (think Broadview and parts of Blue Ridge), homes sold in just 32 days on average, with prices soaring to an average of $1.5 million — up 56% compared to pre-pandemic levels. Nearby neighborhoods followed suit: Mountlake Terrace (98043) averaged 33 days on market, Mercer Island (98040) and Edmonds (98020) both saw homes selling in 36 days, and Magnolia (98199) wasn't far behind.

Nationwide, small towns like Elk Rapids, Michigan, led the pack, but the Seattle region stood out for both its speed and price point. Despite increased inventory, demand remains high — and homes are moving quickly.

Meanwhile, former pandemic hotspots like Florida and Texas are cooling, with rising inventory and falling prices as buyer demand softens. In contrast, Seattle continues to show strong market fundamentals, especially in high-demand neighborhoods.
